The 4K RPM stall torque converter and hardened input shaft went in last week.

Today I ordered a larger, all-aluminum Ford Racing radiator, the cooling fan setup from a 2013-2014 GT500 and the transmission cooler for the later 5.0 Coyote equipped S197s.

I’ve blown cash at strip clubs before. There’s a certain amount of guilt associated with that. The guilt when you shell out eleven hundred bucks for three car parts is equal. The only thing missing is glitter and a coconut smell.....

I still have to get it on the dyno to remap the shift points at part/light throttle because computer controlled transmission.... I’ts driveable, but a little wonky. Wide open throttle appears well though. I was told not to redline it until it was re-tuned. I’m listening as I drove it the few miles home and it will sit until I take it to the dyno. I did mash the throttle once from a constant speed. The converter was worth it. I’ll leave it at that.

That was always the issue with the stock converter. I’d go to the track and the car had a lot left on the table off the line. Plenty of similar setups making less power than me getting better 60 foot times out of the hole. This should put me in the low 1.6x to high 1.5x second 60 foot range....
